This is to be done like the Couch to 5k runs. I always ran Friday, Sunday, Tuesday. I had a day off in between, then when it was time to move to the next week I took 2 days off (Wed. and Thurs.). I highly recommend giving your body the rest. You will ward off injuries.
Also, I'm just a mom who found out she loves running. I don't know the ins-outs, and science behind the programs, I just follow them.
One final note...please leave constructive feedback on the podcasts. I'm new at it and trying to make it as easy to follow as possible. I also know that week 1 might be loud when I talk....sorry :)
